Very much so, having played a small part in the correction of the reflectors on the predecessor, the Hubble.

The shield which was folded and is the size of a tennis court has successfully opened. It consists of several separate hair thin layers.The temperature sunny side will be 280+ whilst the reverse side will be - 380.
This is the greatest engineering accomplish man has ever achieved if all goes well.
