I've read two pieces now on Eric Zemmour - I wonder if he will actually run? Otherwise what's all this for?
Another about Paris Vogue. Anna Wintour, director in New York, wants to force its diversity agenda on to the French edition. Le Figaro commented that this imposition signalled 'the end of a world' and French media and culture institutions are resisting American wokeness and cancel culture, arguing that the reduction of debate to race, culture, gender and diversity is not adapted to France.
It's very odd, we (UK) are now all a bit scared of expressing any opinion - whereas the French don't seem to be scared of expressing anything ! 😆
It's just the sheer difference in cultures that is fascinating.

Six years ago, Calais's infamous Jungle migrant camp was demolished by French police. Today, the camp itself has gone, but the migrants and the smugglers who profit from them remain. In fact, they are more numerous than ever before, with a record number of people attempting to cross the Channel in August 2022. The situation is putting a strain on relations between France and the United Kingdom.
In Calais, we follow the French police patrolling the skies above the coastline. They are finding it increasingly hard to clamp down on migrant crossings. Brexit and the British government's determination to "take back control" of its borders has only made the issue more tense and complex.
