Danny and the Juniors. Why do fools fall in love. Frankie Lymon and The Teenagers 😊 I love all that doo-wap stuff - just brilliant harmonies - and have several doo-wap CD compilations, and 60s girl groups as well - The Shangri-Las &c 😍 Just my kind of thing. Thank you!

maris, we are so alike. I love doo-wap stuff too. I play it a lot, sometimes all day. I also dance around to it. Why do fools fall in love is a particular favourite of mine.

Thanks for that,Aubs. I will search it out when my present music has finished, it's Manhatton Transfer. They play Chanson D'Amour (rat a tat a tat). Many years ago, my OH took me to a nightclub, dancing. The group played Chanson D'Amour and I told OH I loved it. He gave the group a tenner to play it again. He did this four or five times. The other patrons didn't object. Happy memories.

Same thing - anything labelled Mothers of invention is really frank. This was All orchestrated by Frank, but confusingly marketed. But a Doo wop dj I know hated it - chord progressions and harmonies, etc all wrong, but superficially ok. I don't know enough doowop to be able to tell the difference.

I'm afraid I agree with your DJ pal...Zappa clearly was a fan, but can he doo wap? No he can't (imo) It just sounded wrong to my ear...but as an 'homage' I can see why he'd do it.

Sally go round the roses The Jaynetts. Three steps to Heaven. Well done! No, VERY well done! That one was a bit left field... Three Steps to Heaven (wap wap ooo) Eddie Cochrane 😊👍 I was thinking of occasionally swapping the 'Who Sang It' with a line from song lyrics? What do you think ? Only to add a touch of different fun.... But for now... Let's Jump the Broomstick
