An Englishman's view , from Facebook:
I'M SICK AND TIRED OF HEARING STURGEON KEEP GONG ON ABOUT SCOTLAND INDEPENDENCE# IF I WAS BORIS I WOULD SAY OK YOU HAVE YOUR INDEPENDENCE BUT THIS WILL HAPPEN# YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN# NO HELP FROM LONDON AT ALL# THIS WOMAN SEEMS TO FORGET THAT WITHOUT HELP FROM THE REST OF THE UK SCOTLAND WILL NOT SURVIVE# IF BORIS EXPLAINED ALL THIS TO SCOTLANDS VOTERS# I THINK THIS INDEPENDENCE WOULD BE OVER AND ADOLF STURGEON CAN CRAWL BACK INTO HER LITTLE HOLE# NOT TO BE HEARD OF EVER AGAIN

I suppose she intends to hold referenda until she gets the result she wants?
More than 80% of the Scottish electorate voted on the last referendum, and chose to stay as part of the UK
During the recent election less than half the electorate voted, and of those less than half voted for pro-independence candidates.
I like Scotland and have spent a lot of time working there, and also the occasional holiday or visiting family. Sadly in recent times I have begun to feel unwelcome in some areas. Not good and the fervour and anti English sentiments has been whipped up largely by Nicola and prior to her Salmond

I'm not a fan of Nicola Sturgeon , but I can see why the Scots want independence. Just as living in Wales nearly all my life, has taught me why the Welsh wanted independence from England. When you look back over history, England has done very bad things to Scotland, Ireland and Wales. But, we can't go back to right wrongs now and we all need to realise that together, we are stronger than we would be individually.
