The police are refusing to use the Track and Trace system as they do not believe it is secure and will develop their own system. The NHS are not likely to use it either and care home staff have been told not to disclose details of their work colleagues and now it won't be ready in time to be of any use. Bloody shambles. We could have opted into the EU version which I think is up and running already....but no somebody somewhere felt Serco or whoever would be ace at this and not the existing contact tracing expertise within the NHS.

RE Cumming
Durham Council are now looking at his father's property because there either is no cottage on the site (which is possible) and there was no permission given to convert an outbuilding into a cottage at any time. It appears that the only application in the last decade was to put a roof over the swimming pool. I bet his father is wishing he stayed in London now.

Johnson said in the Commons that he was proud of his achievements and took full responsibility for the governments actions
Proud of to late a lock down, dumping virus ridden patients into car homes to keep hospital beds free but infecting God knows how many old folk. Proud of the highest dearth rate in the world, defending his pal Cummings who clearly broke the rules and influenced the population to do likewise. Proud of refusing to make masks compulsory on public transport for political reasons because the Labour Mayor of London demanded it. Allowing millions of people to enter the UK unchecked bringing the virus with them but now the rest of the world has mainly cleared the virus we are to quarantine them. Proud of allowing so many frontline workers to die dues to lack of PPE I'm glad he takes responsibility, I hope he is held to account. The good sign is that his popularity according to the polls has slumped so he ain't fooling Joe Publc

I see Oakeshott has said she expects to be fined but she can afford it so it's not a problem. From what I can see she broke numerous laws, so let's hope it involves a day in court too.

Johnsons star is fading fast whilst Starmers is in the ascendant. Good
Hot on the rails is Sunak who is the best revered politician by the public, and more importantly by the Tory party. Watch oily Gove organise something to knock him out of the running and preserve his own chances

Durham Council have announced that the conversion of an outbuilding into a cottage was done without planning permission and was illegal. There are strict rules on how many homes can be on a farm.
No further action will be taken against Cummings Snr.
Expect other farmers to take note. Several around Durham who had permission declined are not happy.

Well he's facing the possibility of a private prosecution now. The case has been made the judges have agreed to set a date, I think they are waiting for someone to cover costs and it'll be on.
