I could do with one of those. Opening anything at all is getting more and more difficult lately.

I have so many kitchen gadgets.I'm always buying gadgets that get used a couple of times and pushed in the cupboard for eternity. Looking back,I would have to say that the gadget I use most is my Barmix blender. So quick and easy to use and clean. I have a state of the art food processor that never comes out to play because my little blender will do most jobs.

An aunt who has been dead for more than 20 years gave us (when still alive!) a gadget for gripping jar lids to make then easier to open. It worked then, but lids now tend to have sloping sides so you can’t get a grip. Jimmy, remember to take your ring pull gadget out with you when you visit the country in case you meet a horse with a stone in its hoof.

I don't like them but would a electric one help?
Speaking of which it is my birthday soon and I have requested a new can opener. My old butterfly one gave up the fight a few months ago after many years. I replaced it with similar and it is useless. I have to brace the can against an upright surface to get the whole lid off.

I use an electric can opener and it is very easy to use. I have just bought a new breadmaker. My last one died a while ago and I didn't replace it because I used to be able to pop round to the Spar, where they sell Village bread. We really like village bread. Anyway, with not being able to leave OH alone at all and the panic buying in the shops,I decided this may be the time to get another bread machine. My first loaf is baking now.I will have to see how good the loaf is.
