"Harry and Meghan’s refurb of their Frogmore Cottage home has so far cost taxpayers a whopping £2.4million.
The couple’s new residence now boasts a designer kitchen — part of a taxpayer- funded refurb which will cost nearly £3million when all the costs are added."

We were told that there would be a slimmed down royal family in response to criticism that they were too big and costly Now this revelation that we are forking out for this expensive refurb that would have paid for several desperately needed social properties. Are the royals back to their extravagant ways, and ignoring public opinion For trooping the colour the whole pack assembled on the balcony at Buckingham Palaces showing just how many of them there now are, all of them costing us something

More media muck-raking. The headlines are eager to tell us how much this is costing but not so keep to point out it'll be a couple of pence per head.

This is the argument always trotted out by the royalists In fact it is not true, once you total up the costs of security refurbishments etc it costs a lot more. We are subsidising one of the richest families Bt all means let them have the house of their dreams, but let them pay for it themsleves
