We're not, we seem to be out of sync with other LAs, it's since we became a unitary authority which basically means that the power moves even further away from us citizens We are voting in the European Parliament election though which will be LibDem for me, the only one who promises to remain in the EU

No voting today here in Scotland. We have our voting cards for the EU Elections - that will be SNP for me, they don't want to leave the EU either!

Seems like Cons & Labour are in for a right thumping.

Seems like Cons & Labour are in for a right thumping. Reaction seems to be the inertia of major parties. Only one with clear policy is to stay in the EU - the LibDems. Good

That is exactly how I read it Jimmy - another referendum is needed ASAP and then the truth might dawn on Theresa & Co.

Makes me laugh seeing May and Corbyn who both don't seem to get it - May burbling on that voters were annoyed because the Parliament had failed to deliver Brexit, and Corbyn wittering on about the one council Labour had won. They significantly failed to realise the LibDem vote massive increase, the party of staying in the EU

I may think leaving the EU is lunacy, but that is what the British people voted for. We have had a referendum, that is democracy. I'm sorry but I get very cross when people talk about a second referendum. It doesn't work like that. If they vote for us to come out again, will we keep on having referendums until we get the answer we want. Corbyn particularly annoys me when we keeps saying we need a peoples' vote. The referendum WAS a PEOPLES' VOTE. The fact that our politicians are not capable of sorting this mess out is outrageous.

I think the problem is that the ramifications and results of leaving were never made clear, and the main reason voters chose to vote Leave was because of immigration Now the results and implications are clearer I doubt that a referendum result would be the same, the polls appear to confirm that The prediction is that if we do leave a subsequent government will go crawling on their knees begging to rejoin. At what cost

I agree with you Jimmy. I blame David Cameron for this mess. He didn't have to give the public a referendum on the EU. He soon disappeared when he realised what he'd done. No spine, that man. While Mrs. May is making a poor go of it at the moment,at least she has tried. No one else wants her job until Brexit is sorted, then they will all be trying to jump into her job.

Some of them seem to have started their canvassing already! I was trying to think who would make a decent candidate - I can't think of one! Perhaps someone could help me out on that one.

For Westminster I can't think of one that has the ability and common sense to run the country.

Ruth Davidson blows with the prevailing wind at Westminster. She changes her mind more often than I have hot dinners. An example 'Scotland should be allowed another referendum on independence' 2017. Now, 'Scotland should not be allowed another referendum on indpendence. 2016 We should remain in the EU otherwise Scotland would be severely damaged, now - leave means leave and we should all be backing Theresa May. I could list many examples including many lies she has told over the years. BUT, if you want her down south please find her a safe seat!

She'd be very welcome It's refreshing to find a politician who does change their mind as events unfold We have classic examples of the leaders of the Tory and Labour parties sticking to their same held views over things like Brexit despite it being obvious that they are out of sync with the Country
