I used to have a sister who was a screamer. The slightest thing to surprise her and she would scream. I have never been able to scream. The other night ,I had a nightmare and I was being pursued by a villain ,but I couldn't scream for help. Now I'm worrying about needing help and not being able to scream. Can you scream?

Not sure, it's a very long time since I did, in childhood, and I would hesitate to try now in case someone heard me and assumed something was wrong.
On later consideration I am sure I did giving birth, probably loudly!

We lived in a very quiet square in Ealing. A young married couple moved into a house a couple of doors away. Now she was a screamer!
Sex with the volume full up........

Showing off.
You can't in your sleep; I've tried as well, and it comes out as a moan at best. You'd be ok in real life (except for, well you know, what you'd be screaming about, like).

I really can't scream. I have tried. Anyway,I don't have enough puff now for a loud yell either.

My wife and I laugh when we see someone scream on tv. Many times when they find a body a huge scream instead of a gasp.
