Morning all: Better day so far and still so mild. Nothing doing today, I'm just going to settle down and watch cricket all day.

Howzat! Ron, enjoy your cricket. I shall be taking it easy, well, maybe, my hayfever has gone into overdrive. If it calms down I may be able to paint. On the other hand, I may start my wardrobe cull, which I keep promising myself I will do. Ah, so much choice, so little time.......

Pollen count is very high, my wife suffers too. Always buying antihistamines for her.

I keep changing what type I use, because I think your body gets used to it, when you take the same antihistamine over time.

My wife prefers a very cheap one from Body care.

Bit late checking in. Been up half the night worrying about our 3yo grandson who suddenly developed a fever of 40° which wouldn't come down! However, a couple of vomiting sessions and a poo and he seems OK today! These kids - they scare the life out of you ! 😬

Wish I could say the same...more rain this end! I'm taking a friend for a pre-op Covid test today - he cares for his mum, who is not an easy person to care for, bless him. Very agitated and keeps ringing me to check I haven't forgotten!

G' Mornin each. Yup, Maris (May I call you Maris?) Just Picking up Local News re Weather: A13, flooded and closed (not the bit restricted by road widening work), and the A127, and something I can't remember. Oh The Joys of an English Summer.
Hope the Covid pre-op goes well, and the op of course - presumably in a couple of days time.

It is bright and about 17 degrees here. My daughter is "tidying up" a huge bush for me. I bet when I go and look it will be about 2 foot tall. She gets over zealous with the electric hedge trimmers. I don't mind it will grow back again. So pleased your grandson is better, Maris.

Thanks for all your concern good people. Just spoke to my daughter in law, after a scary night and a trip to A&E - the little lad has bounced back. Half the trouble seems to be a reluctance to go to the toilet. He's now got a reward sticker sheet, but that's been met with an angry "I don't want a poo chart!!!"

I don't know but today hasn't been anything like flaming June at all. We've actually had the heating on for 30 minutes to take the chill off.

Morning all: Overcast again, still not like flaming June. I see Canada is having a heatwave at 47c yesterday. Only football or tennis on tv at the moment, horrible.

I watched Murray play yesterday and it was very entertaining. I'm not the tennis fan I used to be, but I like watching Murray. It is wet here this morning, been raining most if the night. I hope it brightens up later. My nightmare hayfever has settled in for the duration. So I hope I brighten up later too.

Well Murray has conquered the first day at least 👍 We watched France v Switzerland last night - excellent result!
Still very overcast and more rain on the way. My garden looks even more sorry for itself than I do!
