Morning all: Looks like another lovely day, 22c yesterday and it could be even warmer today. So taking cushion covers off to wash this morning.

We've just been outside clapping to honour all the care workers. Nice to hear others and cheering too. I'm afraid I take a pale view f idiots who join in this letting off fireworks, where do they get them from at this time of year? Our dogs are terrified of fireworks, and take a lot of settling down. I don't like fireworks either, luckily we are so rural we don't hear them.

Is there some Law-of-Nature that says that: When we can't go to work, we will all gather to the Houses adjacent to "Glo's" abode and work on anything that needs Hammering, Wall drilling, Practising motorbike revving up, Black and Dekkering, Contriving Bashing any concrete or Metal-bashing, Practising Steel-drum-Tuning or Shouting** at any available (or imaginary) Kid that needs a good shouting at.. Then this is the day and place to do it - all without being seen outside of the house.
I wonder if I can dare to venture out to somewhare more peaceful - I believe that there is some urgent Building work being allowed at The Hospital that might be more peaceful - Just Gentle Cement mixing and clanging of Scaffolding, among the overloud radio.

I think it's the law that says I am off work and therefore I must busy myself doing all those jobs I have been promising to do, or put simply it's to get away from 'er indoors
