I love the scent of coal tar soap but it does leave a film on the shower door. So I've changed to Dove, it is a nice scent and doesn't leave that stain in the shower making it easier to clean.

I thought it was a thread on Corrie v EastEnders> LOL
We haven't used a bar of soap in 20 + years. Only liquid stuff in our house, Favourite? Lily of the Valley.

We do use hand wash in the sink and like Tesco's magnolia. It leaves a nice scent on your hands.

There I was all ready to discuss Emmerdale and Corrie! Soap for me - never! Handwash is always the anti bacterial one for us 'cos of the animals don't you know!

I don't watch any tv soaps. The last one I watched had Minnie Caldwell and Ena Sharples and Leonard Swindley in.
Anyway, I guess there are few gentlemen on this board, but I do want to tell you about my trip into town this morning. I needed my favourite shaving gel which is Nivea cooling gel. I called in Boots the chemist and bought some at £3.50. While in town I popped into Body care and while browsing saw the very same Nivea cooling gel at £1.49. I did buy some and when I got home compared the two items, they were identical. So, in future I know where I will do my shopping for gents stuff.

I’m allergic to Dove products as I get hayfever type symptoms with it or if I’m near folk who do. Most annoying. I can’t take smells from Lux or Camay ( are those still on the go? ) I like pears soap and hubby like Coal tar but that to me smells of clean public conveniences! 😀

I have sensitive skin, so I have only used Wright's Coal Tar soap for decades.
In the dim and distant past I liked Pears soap, but I stopped buying it after production was moved to India.
The only slight annoyance about Wright's Coal Tar soap is that for years, the packet has said "4 for the price of 3" which seems a rather feeble way of conning the consumer. The price for the pack of 4 bars is what it is.

My whole family use Pears soap. It suits us because we all have sensitive skin. We also use Pears handwash. I have tried others over the years but I always came back to Pears.

I use handwash but I also use soap when felting
I like scented soap for that as it leaves the finished piece smelling nice - not of wet sheep!

Felting sounds interesting,3wells.The only time I felted,it was unintentional.I was young and washed my husbands Arran sweater in very hot water. It shrank so much,it fit my son's action man afterwards.
