Still good today - as good as it was, I mean.
edit - Actually, it's better now, now that I understand it.

The first childrens' serial I watched on TV has stayed with me all these years. It was called Cabin in the Clearing. It was about pioneering settlers in America and their battle with the Native Americans. The struggle put up by the early settlers had a profound effect on me. Every time I had a nightmare,Native Americans were surrounding my Nan's house and firing flaming arrows at the roof. This continued until I was in my 40s. I remember Ewan Solon was in it playing a noble savage type. The childrens' serial which followed, was called The Wide,Wide World. It was terribly sad - about a little girl who was orphaned. I cried so much during the first episode we were never allowed to watch it again.

I don't remember any of those. If there/are more than a couple of years between all of us, then our memories will be quite different. My spouse is three years younger than me, which (as well as being male) makes a lot of difference to our childhood memories.
I used to love The Appleyards, Six-five Special, and a children's programme called Tales of Rubovia. I used to cry when Andy Pandy "went home". Now that I know he was modelled on Paul Atterbury, I feel quite ill.
