They are lovely little dogs. One of the best dogs we ever had was a Jack. He was so tiny we called him Tyrannosaurus Rex, Rex for short(and he was.)

Just come back from the vets. Our adorable dax has a cataract in one eye and we went to get it operated on. The vet tells us he is totally blind in both eyes. It's incredible that he has been able to function so well, that we didn't suspect it.

My Lhasa Apso was blind for the last few years of her life. She seemed so sure footed we didn't know until the vet told us. I am sorry to hear about Dax,as he is managing OK I expect he will be fine in the future.

My Dax (his name is Snip) [img src="http://i63.tinypic.com/1t0q3k.jpg" src=" " alt=" "] is the same. You'd never know he's blind. Apparently it's hereditary.

Ah,bless!I thought he may have been called Dax after a very virile character in Harold Robbins,"The Carpetbaggers."

He came home yesterday wearing 'the collar of shame'. He has to be hand fed , as the collar makes it impossible to feed himself.

"Dogs fall ill eating chocolate sent in the post by Sainsbury's" news.sky.com/story/dogs-fall-ill-eating-chocolate-sent-in-the-post-by-sainsburys-11055705This is all to do with Sainsburys mailing chocolate samples to some of their customers as a present/promotional gift. Some recipients claim that their dogs pounced on the mail when delivered, and ate the chocolate resulting in a reaction No surprise, those recipients are blaming Sainsbury rather than questioning their own mail delivery arrangements
