Has anyone else been watching this wonderful series?
It wasn't the usual wildlife series. The programme makers had animatronics made and fitted with cameras.
The way the animals responded to the robot animals was very entertaining and I found it educational.
There is a programme on tonight on BBC2,revealing how the animatronics were engineered and how the cameras were adapted to be used in them.
I think this was a brilliant idea and the way the "fake" animals were so convincing was pure genius.

I've enjoyed the ones I have seen, and it's the things that were previously unknown that make it fascinating. I loved the elephants - I was a bit freaked out by the oran-utang with the saw though!
