I like Waking the Dead too, I also like DCI Banks as he feels more real life, Frost who was also good.

Maigret, played by Jean Gabin (his flat's a lot less plushy than the one Michael Gambon had as well). I like Miss Marple (well, Joan Hickson) but I would not call her a policer). Wexford. And Foyle. Foyle is great (I was going to put something else there in front of "Great", beginning with F -- ha! but he is. Oh, and Saga - OK then, The Bridge *sigh*:  |
