An 80s horror / Stephen King homage - a bunch of small-town, pre-teen kids investigating the disappearance of one of their friends and (with the help of the friend's waffy mother and brother, and a girl the brother likes (who is going out with a handsome though pig-ignorant jock), a drunken sheriff, and a strange girl with stranger powers) do battle with a sinister Govt organisation, that isn't but might as well be, called "The Shop".
