A week where we have heard two attacks by dogs resulting in horrific deaths.
People always say there's no such thing as a dangerous dog...only a dangerous owner. I disagree.

All dogs are descended from wolves, instinct to kill I was bitten twice back of ankles by dogs, small breed ones, when working. Having been assured by the owner that "Fido" was just saying hello I learned better, and would only enter a property if the dog was secure. Caused a lot of problems because the owners could never accept that their precious one could be dangerous, an attitude I suspect is held by the owners of these dogs that kill All people can do is to anticipate that any dog may be dangerous, and act accordingly

This dog is apparently described as a "white boxer type", not a breed usually associated with being vicious - just slobery

Any animal behaviour expert, I think, would say that an animal always has the potential to behave unpredictably. It's animal! As a youngster, I was bitten badly by a neighbour's dog (stitches in arm and leg) - it was a corgi that I had 'known' for years. Last year I was bitten by a dog on a lead with its owner chatting to me...suddenly the dog lunged at me! Again, two stitches in my hand. It was a pit-bull type dog. I went to hospital and then later to the police. In the event, I did not even ask the owner's name/address. To be honest, she was in a worse state than me...completely in bits!
