Did you watch it on TV?
Were you there?
Were you at another one?

I didn't watch it but saw coverage on the news, and a thought struck me.
Alf Garnet would have had a field day! RIP Johnny Speight.

I thought the picnic boxes were a free gift off the queen. I was stunned when I heard they were £150 each.

It would have been fab PR for the queen to have forked out for the lunches, the folk who received them could have been OAPs from all round London who were a similar age.

I agree,norty2. I suppose we shouldn't expect largesse from the Royal family. I admire the queen and respect the way she has behaved during her reign. I think things will be very different after the queen dies.

I understand the money for the lunch boxes went to charity. But £150:00 a pop seems a bit heavy

Some could not afford the £150 fee so an anonymous millionaire stepped in, and paid for them

It's not as if she can't afford it. How many ordinary people can afford £150 for a picnic!
