I might be just getting old or turning into my dad but he used to say its Germany all over again wanting to control Europe but this time no invasion .he said why did we fight to be told by the French and the Germans what we can do in are own country something seriously wrong there. might have been better if we kept France when we liberated it and kept full control of Germany

Add to this the opposition to immigration from them, which basically as far as they are concerned is PC speak for immigrants who are not white

The Brexiters are making great play about immigration as if things would be different if we left the EU As this is such a contentious issue I am surprised that the government has not taken the bull by the horns and gone for a massive increase in border security budgets instead of cutting them Yesterday a boat load was found off the coast of Kent, I wondered why more have not attempted this crossing. We regularly take the ferry from Dover/Calais and could easily envisage little boats heading to the UK. It was done at the evacuation of Dunkirk

Largely because they are xenophobic racists and can't tell the difference between a Pole and a Syrian. Or should I say, don't care.

Gove on Breakfast this morning was claiming that an exit would mean that we could abolish VAT on fuel bills to help the "poorest families" When pressed if he would, he waffled saying that was up to the Chancellor

A plague on both their houses. ALL of them are telling lies, ALL of them are using crystal ball prediction tactics, probably with less accuracy than the gypsy in the booth.
I was bearded by a lady in town on Saturday, campaigning for the IN side. I talked to her, and she then told me that I, together with every other household would be thousands of pounds worse off if we left. I asked her how she knew that, and she said 'well, it's obvious'. Now I know that she was only a volunteer and perhaps well meaning, but her attitude seems to be pretty typical of both sets of arguments. They all KNOW things. No they bloody well don't, they are speculating and could and probably will be very wrong indeed.

It is the best kept secret in the UK media, that the EU funds/part funds all sorts of things from the building and maintenance of new roads to grants for Welsh language speakers.
In France (eg) all road improvements have a board stating what % is paid for by the dept./gov./EU.
Have you ever seen such a sign in the UK?

I live in Cornwall, recognised by the EU as one of the poorest pars of the UK, and they have spent millions if not billions here. Whatever they have financed is always accompanied by a board announcing that it is/has been funded by the EU And yet the silly buggers here voted for a Tory, ex UKIP, MP who is now promoting Brexit to lots of support

Surely it's a straightforward case of 'bird in the hand or two in the bush'.
