Today I had to go to the bank (paying in, not begging) and it is half term.
And on and around a bench outside the bank was a group of teenagers, I guess between 12 and 14. The language was appalling - they could not speak a single sentence without the F and in some cases the C word, and the group comprised boys and girls. And they were 'talking' loudly and obviously did not give a damn if they offended anyone, including women with tiny children who were passing.
Added to that they had been scoffing canned drinks and other stuff and left the empties and the rubbish where it fell, about 8' from a bin.
Yes I am getting old, and as a young man I have little doubt that my behaviour on many occasions was a lot less than exemplary, but we did respect our elders by and large, we did not almost in defiance litter the streets and any bad language we kept to ourselves.
What the hell has gone wrong?

That sort of behaviour is everywhere.

That sort of behaviour is everywhere. I know it is, but is my memory fading? It seems to be more than in years gone by. If so, why?
