This 'news' was published in the D.Express
In an article headlined 'Why are Man City fans booing Liverpool star James Milner in Vincent Kompany testimonial", published on 😜
In fact, the article had been written before the game took place and was published in error. James Milner did not play in this match and was therefore not booed

I don't trust any of the press reports now. I think our press is a disgrace. It seems that it is no longer important to check facts and make sure articles are accurate. The phrase, gutter press is completely apt. It is a shame, that good reporters have been over shadowed by people who want scandalous headlines to further their own careers. Even the local press is doing the same thing and I'm not completely sure about the BBC remaining unbiased.

Checking isn't in it. They invent stories and quietly deny them; but only if they have to.

You asked ,"Do you believe in the press?" My answer is a resounding NO.

I agree with Arena. All media is scewed these days and presents a biased viewpoint. Even reports you might 'agree' with will be one sided!
I was listening to an award winning Scottish comedian (sorry I forget his name) on the wireless yesterday. He has been banned by the SNP from performing because they did not like his content. That is the whole point of humour - it's making fun of someone or something, so offence is inevitable.
Yes, many are deciding what we will and won't see/read.

We have many friends in Benidorm and watch a few blogs from there every day, some are live too. Anyway, Brits living out there are quick to point out the lies that the likes of the Daily Mail and Express print about Spain. The Express have on a few days now predicted an African plume to settle over the UK from mid August and lasting into late September. Well, it hasn't happened and doesn't look like it's going to either.

Watching British tv , reading the press is like living on another planet. The weather they are telling you we are roasting in is , in reality, cold and cloudy . The forecast here doesn't show any improvement for the foreseeable future!

I have suspected the Met. office of trying to cheer us up, by predicting heatwaves, before now. So I always take their predictions with a pinch of salt.
