Why do the press have to go OTT. He was nearly 100 years old and obviously suffering major problems and it's very sad for the Queen but suddenly the press has discovered this old man they used to ridicule was ,in fact a saint.
The amount of schmatz gets deeper with every issue. 'The greatest grandfather ever' Etc.

I watched a little of it on the news. At the time of the funeral I was otherwise engaged.
I bet the Queen was glad that covid prevented the world and his wife attending and she could have privacy at the funeral.

We have no right to judge others unless we, ourselves have walked in their shoes.
As none of us have any idea of the pressures and confines of his life, we should not judge him.
The media have no compunction about destroying peoples' reputations and lives.

I don’t really have much time for the royals on the whole, however, the more I heard about the DoE the more I felt he’d been dealt a rough hand by the press/news.
