Hey! They're all - I think all - on Youtube!
We used to watch it before going out to look for empty houses to squat, before we got this place (a couple of days before we were due to be kicked out - the bailiffs came to see us off). Then when we got back we'd watch Marmalade - I checked the dates - Marmalade was on in autumn 1982, which was when we'd have been looking for a place.
If you don't remember Marmalade:
Very fondly remembered, but I don't think it's been shown since.
Sadly,Charlotte Colman died in her early thirties. It was an asthma attack. It made me aware of always carrying my inhaler.
She was in a lot of bad things - as most actors are, especially towards the start of their career - but she was always a favourite of mine: I've watched some terrible stuff on her account. She was in some really good things as well though.

Saturday night and the only thing worth watching, was Dad's Army. It used to be peak viewing night, now it's just a reality load of rubbish - some shows where the winner will disappear back into the obscurity from which they came

I really like Dad's Army,I could watch it over and over.Unfortunately,OH doesn't like it at all. I agree with jimmy about the quality of programmes for a Saturday night. I like films,so would watch them by myself in the bedroom, while OH watches TV in the living room. Now he gets agitated if I'm not where he can see me,so I try to watch stuff he likes (documentaries),but he can't follow them. So both of us are bored.I tend to read all evening while he watches claptrap.

We also have shelves full of dvd films, and it is nice to dig one out to watch again. Watched the Kate Blanchet film of Elizabeth last night, very enjoyable

To me Dad's army is still one of the best all time comedies on tv.

Yes very moving. I didn't think much of the Steve Coogan programme and the new comedy with Martin Clunes wasn't that funny either.

Can you imagine any driving school instructor surviving in business if they treated their pupils that way. Lessons are not cheap Martin Clunes is filming Doc Martin at the moment, and he recently was very good as the cop after Millie Dowler's killer. He must have been desperate to take this so called comedy on

Very true JImmy, I do enjoy Doc Martin, he's excellent as the grumpy doctor.
