I'm glad my daughter pays for Disney+ for her brother. It means I can watch Shardlake and Shogun. I need to check Paramount, because I think I get it free with my Sky package, but it seems to be asking me a password I can't remember!!!!!!!! I was going to watch the film about the man imprisoned in a hotel in Moscow for 30 years. Is it called Gentleman in Moscow. The whole series is available on IPTV Smarters Pro. A much better site perfectly legal and much cheaper

Well, we went to see the new baby and I cradled him for over an hour. He's 10 days old today and as good as gold. He rarely cries and sleeps all night for them. Our grandaughter took some piccies so I'll have to wait for her to send them to my phone.

Morning all: Another very cold start to the day, they now say next week will get warmer. But it won't be dry all the while, still no sign of an early summer.

Good "dull cold" morning all. I have been doing some long overdue sewing and I'm rather pleased with myself. I have filled in my postal vote, but it's too cold to post it today.

Well, I guess I was lucky. Done all the washing early and put it out on the line. It dried in the sunshine and breeze, just before the clouds descended. All ironed and put away now. Got all the whites to do tomorrow.

Absolutely tipping down, grey and miserable. Plans changed. Was going to have a walk at the beach - staying in now!

Absolutely tipping down, grey and miserable. Plans changed. Was going to have a walk at the beach - staying in now! Hi Hildie, I'm 88 miles from the nearest beach and 741 feet above sea level, yet it's still persisting it down here too.

We have three Alexa devices plus a kindle each. I sort of feel ashamed of that really as it just shows the extent to which I am enslaved to Amazon. However, I like the radio stations you can get on it, especially Caroline Flashback... I am debating whether to get Netflix - only because I am dying to watch Ripley. I watched the Ripley 1999 movie last night , as Althea previously stated any remake of this which I would rate at 8 out of 10 would be difficult,Matt Damon and Jude Law gave fine performances and I have no doubt this is a major reason why both of these actors used the movie as a stepping stone.

Not too bad a day, a tad chilly but the sun is out. I've washed all the whites and dried them in the tumble dryer. All dried, ironed and put away now. We're having strawberries and ice cream for dessert today.

I have had a busy morning. It's too cold to get out in the garden, or I would have been out there today. I have mixed myself a new nail polish. I wanted something slightly pink, but not pearly. I got my polishes out and mixed a tiny bit of dark pink with a nude one and I have the most lovely colour. Sort of just a tiny bit more pink than natural. I have thrown out the old red ones I still had knocking about. I have cleaned the grouting in the bathroom with a home made paste of bleach and bicarb soda and it has come up a treat. I have looked for something to put through the washer, but I can't find anything.

I decided to put the good parka on and venture to the high Street for some vegetable oil and some cheese for toast.
I was soaking coming back in, went straight to the kitchen and put the oil on the bench. Only holy moley batman, I missed the bench. Bottle did a spin then hit the floor. The top shot off and I had an oil spill that would make a seagull cringe.
Took the best part of a large kitchen roll to soak it up and as I was doing it I smelt burning.
Yes, flinging off the parka to deal with the oil spill I'd knocked one of those freshener candles, (kipper for lunch) and it had caught on a letter. Grabbing the letter to chuck in the sink I ended doing an ice skating skid along the kitchen. I didn't know I could still almost do the splits! Logic tells me I can't, oil proves it wrong.
Took me ages to clean up. You can't imagine how far that oil spattered. It was like a crime scene.
Still it filled in a couple of hours that would otherwise have been spent doing what I ought to be doing and sorting old clothes out for the charity shop. I have made a start by making a pile!!
Now I'm laughing watching the football and trying to imagine the coroner's inquest. Ha ha ha! Woman douses kitchen with oil then sets fire to herself before the gas explosion. PC Thickas says there was a strong smell of freesias! There was no note your honour. Lol!!
