Ha! By staying inside with the curtains closed!
That's the advice for anybody "elderly". Do we need that advice, I find when it is so hot it is exhausting and better to try and find somewhere cool Very warm here at the moment though overcast and with 50mph winds racing by
I never go in the sun at all if I can help it. But for some reason people like it.

I had to take two drugs with a glass (half a pint?) of water this morning, one with food one without, both needing you to sit up straight for 30 minutes afterwards. At least one of them's only once a week, and the other only lasts a week. Done it now.

For one thing people seem obsessed with having a tan, and the other could be a hangover from the past when children were encouraged to bare as much skin as was decent to absorb vitamin D

It is absolutely boiling here today, the sweat is dripping off me after an hour of ironing. Got the towels on the line now so hopefully no more ironing today.

Good evening.
I spent four hours walking at the coast. The strong breeze was lovely. I could see the Spinnaker Tower quite clearly (through my binoculars) from the Lymington coast. Tomorrow is forecast to be about 25c here.

It is boiling again here, I sit here with sweat dripping off me after vacuuming. I open the freezer door now and then to cool down.

It is unbelievably hot here today. I went out to the bin and the heat hit me as soon as I went outside. Oddly, it's cooler indoors.

Good evening. Today I walked for about four hours at Shawford Down , and beside the Itchen Navigation. It was beautiful. I ventured on to Twyford Down for a while and came across the Twyford Down Monument. I hope this link works : link
