Didn't like being a ghost, thought I'd better find an icon, took this photo in 2011, knew it would have a use one day.

Hello fellow nostalgics! I could see right from the outset that the members of this site feel the same way about "The old days" as I do.I know people have said that anyone would say their own old days only seemed better than the now becausew they wish they were stuck at whatever more youthful age they were at the time.I say if you can recall quite well the days of Reaganomics,MTV in its infancy or golden moments of 60's and 70's TV and music, you are quite a lucky person. We got to experience the world before it descent into utter chaos full of man's inhumanity to man.I often wonder how the youth culture in this country went from "All You Need Is Love" and War's "Why Can't We Be Friends" to the current day insufferably shallow youngsters of today.Sure,we all had our probems then.Life comes with dilemma no matter when you live.At least back then there was a half decent number of people who cared enough to try and change "social injustice" as it was referred to in the song "How" from the "Hair" musical. The last couple generations have sadly and tragically produced a whole new American citizen. One that simply doesn't care............

I can't remember if I've already introduced myself! I have been very ill, one of the symptoms being a messed up brain. It was eventually found that the tablets I was prescribed were poisoning me, causing all sorts of problems. I am now well on the road to recovery and ready to come back to the world, real and otherwise (can't think of the word I mean)

Side-effects are a real drag... my Doctor put me on a new blood pressure tablet - I've had hypertension for decades - she squealed when she took my B/P - "Your blood pressure is PERFECT!". Sadly I had to tell her the damn pills were causing depression, a need to wander not too far from the loo and oedema... she was so disappointed! We halved the dose, which improved things somewhat, but I may disappoint her at our next appointment...

I sympathise with you, Scorp, I know the problem, I too suffer from hypertension and a heart condition, never far from the loo and anti depressants to counteract the blood pressure pills I need a shopping bag each month to collect my prescription from the pharmacy!!! Fortunately here in Perros Guirec being a holiday resort we have public conveniences about every two hundred yards
