I only know one, Casino Royale I think there was one where Dirk Bogarde played an old man obsessed with a young boy but cannot remember the name Was Room with a View set in Venice? Death in Venice? That's the one, I always wondered how much of Dirk was in it

I got obsessed with Venice films for a while, after watching three of them in one weekend (Don't Look Now, Bloodstained Shadow and Who Saw Her Die? - the last made the year before Don't Look Now and very similar, in feel and story - dead child, out of season, practical and foreign artist as protagonist, funeral barge, lots of running about narrow Venice alleys, etc). I saw Giallo A Venezia not long afterwards, as part of a Leonora Fani binge, and there were a couple of others in between as well (not Death in Venice, though - I saw that yours ago - Dirk with his make-up running).
