As a Sassenach I must protest That a Scot should resort to a jest At Englands demise (In a game I despise) But YOUR team won’t get the first prize!

So, now that the second-rate teams like Australia and England are out, will it get more exciting?

I don't watch football. However I do recall being in France a few years back during a world cup. I was in a bar and it was a very amusing eveing. I was the token L'ooligan Anglais.
As the wine flowed we managed to work out in very un-pc fashion in a mixture of French English Spanish and sign language why Cameroon were winning a few games.
It was we concluded because they played all their games at night and no-one else could see them!
A very good night was had by all....

Reminds me of being in Skellefteå, up near the Arctic Circle in Sweden... I caught a plane in the morning, to Oslo on my way home. I was the only Brit on board, and I stayed very quiet - it was the morning after the Heysel Stadium disaster...
