A great favourite of mine. I still chuckle when I remember once being too embarrassed to let my mother see an English translation of the text at a live performance in Portsmouth Guildhall. Can't imagine why as she'd lived some 80 odd years by then and had brought 4 children into the world so must have had some idea what lusty farm boys got up to with the village maidens in the Spring!
I was going to suggest 5, 8 a truly great orchestral and choral work but I'd probably get told off again for being too obscure so perhaps I can declare "open house" and let someone else have a go. TJ
