It would be different altogether If only we could choose the weather Certainly a lot less strain Where we get just night rain But would our jobs ever get done If we all chose too much sun With wrinkled skin and burnt faces Like those from hot dusty places Tongues would simply never wag Where we'd lose are daily nag 'cus with our season's we never know If it'll be sun, rain, wind or snow.
The evening storm clouds begin to grow At least it'll be rain tonight not snow Thunder growls with threatening rain Lightening streaks show the way again Thrashing raindrops beat rythmic'ly on pane That swishes and swirls seeking drain....

Song?
Dont stop the train rollin' Going down the track It'll be my saviour I shall not look back
Jesus is there waitin' I'm the guest at tea They'll be celebrating When they all see me
Please forgive me driver I cant take no more When you see me driver Put foot to the floor
Can you hear me Jesus Meet me at the gate Because that'll please us Those who cannot wait
Dont stop this train Rollin' It's my destiny 'cus I through with sinin' Please train set me free.
I learnt how to love I learnt how to smile Now she's gone up above One stands out a mile
I've skanked out with whiskey It don't work no more Livin' is to risky Even up the score
Peace train are you comin' With my deliverance My sorry mind's numbin' It cant make no sense
Jesus is there waitin' Does he look like me Just anticipatin' And just thirty three
Standing on the track I hope it's my last day There's no turning back Amen to that I say.

Humans are programmed as to what they see Misinterpreting visions of you and me Basically we humans are just a blob Two legs a belly and a very big gob Two holes connect us without doubt The inlet is far bigger than the out Too much going in and the results will be that The blob will inflate into a ball of fat You are what you eat what eats you you become Be watchful what you eat or your brains become numb So next time you are thinking of observing me Remember too many acorn's'll turn you into a tree.

It all started on June twenty three When we held a referendum to set Britain free Free from once was the EEC That tried to rule all here without the vote of any Cameron,Carney and Osbourne for remain Farage,Johnson and Gove took the strain Each side told stories to explain The wins, the losses the ultimate gain Friday morning saw the leave vote win So....we are out now definately not in Cameron's resigned and new talks begin Then the theatricals started,he says with a grin Crabb,Fox,Gove,Johnson,Leadsom and May Are all in the new dramatis personae Boris falls first stabbed by Gove OK Fox and Crabb dropped along the way Leadsom is made to look a real tit Blarting to the Times of her motherhood bit Stating May as a mother didn't make it Eating Umble pie she was coerced to quit So...Cameron's final cabinet meeting's today Very soon he'll be on his way Out of number ten after six years of play For our second female PM from Maggie to May.

Losing never was The winner's game Defeat is always A walk of shame Like poverty it looms It stinks ranks of sweat Clings to the poorest As putrid as it can get A mantle or thick coat A shroud of the tightest mesh That strangles inspiration and....feeds on your distress.

Lead me life Take me where you may Up your winding staircase I'll find my way Up your one way street There's no turning back There are no border lines Upon your track Jagged or smooth Those rocks that we scale We all climb together Or alone we fail Yet we get weaker With too many a stride Joints get stiff On our decaying ride Grey haired Wizened and rough Toothless and demented But that's not enough Like moths we all Fly toward the light Creeping slowly Until it's goodnight.

Night rolls into day As day rolls into night It comes it goes It's always been that way
Summer follows Spring As Autumn brings us Winter Seasons like us change Each one a newness to bring
Love, hope and compassion Are links in the same chain We all need a daily dose Or soon we see our strengths drain
We can all chase our rainbows Wishes rarely come true Just a little more peace, understanding Will let our share of daylight through.

Today is your birthday And I wish for you All the best dreams you've ever had Will all one day come true
I wish for you a blue sky And just to see you smile Maybe a spectacular rainbow That lasts for quite a while
I wish all the friends you've lost In life's journey along the way Could all return and hug you once again For this wonderful day.

Two thousand and twelve an arduous year The weather was awful mood...drear London had an injection of ten billion quid Did it make a difference (there) you bet it did Sure Boris was all cock a hoop While Dave tried to see light through the pea soup There was the old Queen's diamond jubilee A huge flotilla that'll go down in history but even that was a very wet affair Charlie's navy jig the light entertainment there The olympics well.... a huge success Many medals won they did impress The wet fish though was the vote for PCC Many didn't vote including me The last thing we need when funds are sparse Is another fat cat sat on their arse Still if we're lucky it aint over yet Could it get any worse? well...don't make a bet.

The wind blows softly Chimes sing their song The candle gently flickers Casting shadows on the wall The smell of candle fat Dominates the air As I'm watching silhouettes From my easy chair I can see demons From a fleeting glimpse Inordinate shapes Remain mystified, unclear Even the smallest sound Has one cocking an ear Yet solitude is great For focusing our fear.

Will our guns ever fall silent Or our bombs cease to fall Or have all our dead soldiers Died for nothing at all
Will we ever live to see the day When the world will sing as one Where we can all be neighbours Or has all hope now forever gone
Will there ever be a time When others we refuse to judge When everyone's treated for their own merits And we no longer hold a grudge
Will animosity and vengeance Be inherited for evermore Could we ever turn the other cheek Welcoming trouble at our door ?

Autumn has now swept the summer away The days are getting shorter every day Apples are hanging red on the tree The pips are turning brown they're nearly ready My seedums red it's top's a sight to see Covered in the day with butterfly and bee The dahlias are now in their final bloom With wild marigolds fighting for room The chestnut was the first to put on a show With it's red, yellow and gold beginning to glow The old oak's green still full of acorns My roses are speckled full of sharp thorns It'll get better as the leaves begin to fall It won't be long before the Robin comes to call I want to soak up this wonderful scene Before it looks like the sky after the rainbow has been.

(Because I now have an essential tremor, using accurate tools is a very frustrating experience, some days I struggle to eat my food as it keeps shaking irritatingly off my fork or spoon, the more I stress the harder it gets, I used to have a very neat hand which makes feel now like Iam in quicksand, Sean Connery now, shaken not stirred🤨 )
Here I am searching again For my old faithful pen Alas all the old notes On bits of scrap paper Are always turning into A right old caper The pen itself is becoming rare I see styluses in use everywhere Even keyboards are so yesterday Everything seems to be touch today Soon even that will be obsolete As speech recognition becomes more street Maybe I'm a dinosaur Who won't admit defeat then But nothing yet's as compact As my old pen.

March 2016.
Come on Mr Osbourne pray do confess There are millions more here now but we're all earning less You've attacked the disabled just to make them beg When many have nothing to stand on not even one leg Taking from the poor to give even more to the rich The poor deceived electorate fooled by your sales pitch Promising help for our youngsters with a new sugar tax While selling their playing fields mean they get fat and relax Artificial sweeteners will be the new order of the day While the old gas in the new pops rots our new kids teeth away A northern power house mention was the new salt in old wounds So our George you now know just where you can shove your silver sugar spoons!
