I don't like the fact that many young people in the south talk like people from Jamaica. I suppose it's a fad.

A few muddled expressions I saw on the 'net lately.
Don't get your nipples in a twist. Don't give up the goat. For all intensive porpoises.

Seems to me you're looking for a scrapegoat.

I've noticed that just about everyone on TV, radio and podcasts lately are pronouncing "either" and "neither" as "eether" and "neether"... and don't get me started on people saying "skedule".

This isn’t misuse as such, but why does nobody give anything away these days?
A present to someone these days is ‘gifted’, a word I would reserve for someone with an exceptional talent.

"There are less customers here today... " How many times do you hear people say "less" when they mean "fewer"?

Beautiful/Beautifully Nice/Nicely She's done that beautiful She's done that nice I can accept that people don’t always use English correctly in conversation. Broadcasters are a different matter, and the BBC seems to be using ‘‘gifted’ instead of ‘given’. Also, the expression ‘for free’ is now widely used. Surely something is either ‘free’ or ‘for nothing’?

I heard a Radio 4 listener complaining about the amount of time afforded on Last Word to a "flamingo dancer".

When did 'nuclear' become 'nucular'?
