I love anywhere on the coast, but I do appreciate the countryside.

I love the sea and love being at the coast. As long as a holiday is restful, I'm happy anywhere. OH used to get us up early and say ,"Come on, what are we doing today? We can sit about at home." He was a hard taskmaster.

Peak District, Lake District, N. Wales, Places not visited before is Great ... But Much as I liked all the Scandanavian Places, I have the 'orrible feeling that I'd be disappointed to go back, in case its changed.

Too near then water for me - Leave it to the Fish/Ducks/Swans. I believe you'll find the occasional fish in the sea also. You don't get sand in your parts at the riverside.

Yup, the sand is too near the water, too.

There's no pleasing some people. I like sand.

The seaside is so boring you have to have all kinds of distractions. The countryside hasn't any.

I lived by the seaside for 40 years and never found it boring. Not Boring If you have all them Holiday-makers Playing Silly-buggers (seems a good time to go elsewhere) but watch out for those theiving Seagulls.
Just a thought - We are all (in UK) more than a couple of hours car/train/charabanc from the seaside ..... or from the Countryside .... or from a City .... or from a Lake .... or from a river... So I Suspose we are all Seasiders.....

I have lived most of my life in the countryside. Only the last ten years have been in a little town. I love the countryside and hate towns and I could never live in a city. We moved here due to old age and convenience of having everything close, which has proved to be a wise move.

I like the coast, I like seeing the sea in rough, calm and stormy weathers. On holiday I like going to sleep to the sound of the sea. Mind you, although I’m great swimmer but get shockingly seasick on boats!
