A lot of the time people do not realise they are prejudiced.
A newspaper item this week on fish and chips.
We are fortunate in our village to have excellent fish and chips. The shops is run by a Cypriot family but it is always clean and the food freshly served.

The little word ‘but’ in that sentence makes all the difference, it didn’t need to be there at all.

True, there's no need to put a "but" in there, that would suggest because they are of foreign nationality it's rare for them to be clean.
