That's not the one I meant, but it fits as well. What a terrible film it is though - Askey's constant, compulsive, aggressive larking about comes across more as an illness than anything, and he can't stop himself even while subjected to hostility from the other passengers when he's got them all stranded for the night (I doubt that was in the original play).
My original film was A Canterbury Tale, which is one of the greatest and strangest films ever made.
