But when they did get indicators: they were semaphore arms that stuck out of the side, with a light in them unless of course, you passed a Cyclist making a hand signal and collecting the Semaphore signal in passing..
And when they did get flashing stationary indicators, London busses had miniature arrows as lights, BUT, both on the same side - on the number plate housing on the Rear Right.
