Just had our Xmas dinner, lovey it was too. I am the chef and the waiter and the washer up too. I hope everyone has had a lovely dinner today.

We're having ours later this year, previously we've had dinner at lunch time but this year we are having it at our usual time. The turkey is cooked, ready Lunch was nice, tomato soup, smoked salmon with king prawns and side salad followed by raspberry trifle. Dinner will be full turkey dinner followed by Christmas pudding with cream. Cheese and biscuits ar supper time

Had it many years ago, my brother was a chef and he insisted on cooking it for my parents and myself. Cooked on a trivet so all the fat drained out it looked good but the taste was a bit strong for us. Had pheasant too some time later and found it similar Once for us we had one of these bird within a bird within a bird. Could taste the goose in that

I have tried to cook goose twice,with a gap of about 20 years between efforts. I just have to admit,I can't cook goose properly. It is far too greasy for us. Probably the way I have cooked it has caused it to be so fatty.
