Thanks Aubs. In the bin I think. …..
Or I could make some bread and waste a tiny bit of yeast salt etc and see how it turns out?
After all, people in the past ate flour from the last harvest, or even the one before that and it was by no means stored that well
I'd try it. Though if it was me I'd probably make it and then not dare eat it.

No great cook here, the only time we use flour is on Pancake Day. The tiny packet we buy is used from year to year until it runs out when we buy another one We're still here

For years I made all my own bread and it is very easy. The first batch (with new wholegrain flour) was OK but a bit heavy and 6 out of 10. This one I made with half wholegrain and half plain flour and did it in my little Panasonic combi-oven. Much much better but I did give it longer to prove. A bit too much salt, but 9/10.
If I knew how to get pictures from my phone to here other than by e-mailing them to myself and putting the image on my desktop I could show you. And make you all feel hungry!

On Sunday I roasted a duck. Normally expensive, but on offer and since I have not cooked duck for a while it was a very welcome change. And it was good.
Yesterday I decided to make soup out of the remains, so have gently simmered the carcase, and stripped it off.
I now intend to add garlic (of course) onions some celery, mushrooms and probably a few potatoes to thicken it up when I zap it with my stick blender. I have all of the above.
So, any other suggestions as to what might make it interesting and tasty?

I've only ever had orange with duck I have never added orange to soup. Nor plumbs which can also go with duck, and I have hundredweights of plumbs this year.
The thought plumb soup does not really titivate the taste buds
