Went to dinner last night with a well known Who-dunnit writer. She introduced us to Ginger vodka..... (throb)

We went to visit a cousin in Wales. It's a lovely place, when it's not raining!

We spent a month in Wales in a rented cottage. It rained every day, except for one lovely sunny afternoon, when the youngest had a tummy bug and we had to stay at home!

We've been decorating the bathroom which was one of the rooms not done before we moved in. Pheww it was hard work and the room is taller than it's wide and painting the ceiling proved to worthy of Russian Gymnast techniques! ;D I was holding the ladder as MrN armed with paint brush was leaning at a perilous angle into the corners. I have to say it looks beautiful and we're dead chuffed with it.

Well done Norts. Award yourself a choccie (or three) Would love too Arena but it's diet day today so no choc or anything till tea time and then its salad!! I'm on the 5-2 diet and it's working at treat. I've lost 2 1/2 stone since March and feeling fab, sexy and slim.

Well the 5-2 diet means that you eat normally (not over eating any way) for 5 days and for 2 days in amongst the 5 you have a total calorie count of 500 (women) 600 (men). The trick is to leave as long as possible between meals on the 2 day. So typically what will happen in this house is that we will have breakfast and then nothing to eat till supper time. We drink tea and coffee with not much milk or no milk would be better during the day. The beauty of this diet is it feels part time which is bliss and good for the mind. I have struggled with my weight ever since I was a wee girl and it became a touchy subject and an emotional one. I’m now lighter than I’ve been for 20 years but feel better physically because I don’t feel like I’m on a diet. You can also swap the days around to fit you. We tend to diet on Mondays and Wednesdays, but if we go out or are invited somewhere we can change either or both days to suit. So long as the 2 days are within 7 days and not consecutive it should result in weight loss.
