I have watched The Last Holiday several times. I really enjoy Alec Guinness films.He was an excellent actor.
I might watch that later. There is a film called The Scapegoat (co-written by Gore Vidal, from a novel by Daphne Du Murier) that seemed to have a similar premise - similar enough that I had to check anyway - a lonely bloke going on holiday to France, but he ends up being made to stand in for someone else who looks like him. That's good as well. It also has Bette Davis in it (which I forgot earlier).

I watched the Edgar Wallace Theatre this afternoon and Michael Caine was in it. It wasn't a speaking part,he was a "heavy" with a gun.
It wasn't his finest performance,but maybe his first.
