I swear byu Voltarol, I used it daily for a week after painting and it did the job fine. Does anyone on here use Flax seed? It is a marvelous thing to have in, It has so many benefits bringing down cholesterol and keeping your bowels open without any side effects.
What I hate most about the creaky things is the equal and opposite reaction.
A few years ago I had surgery on my right knee - not the full monty; just an arthroscopic scrape-out, but I was on crutches for a few weeks and not fully mobile for a couple of months. During which time my left knee got cranky at having to do all the work and started to go the same way. A bit of hard work with the physio, including knee exercises - on both knees - which I still do faithfully every day, seems to have sorted that one out for now.
Then a couple of weeks ago I came a cropper in the local fruit 'n' veg shop, and landed on my left shoulder against a shelf. Bloody painful and can still hardly move the bugger. Consequently I'm doing everything with my right arm, which is now having a sooky fit about having to do all the work. Also because I usually get around with a backpack, and now have to carry it only over my right shoulder, my right lower back and leg muscles are getting cross an'all.
To save the blushes of the gentlemen I won't go into too much detail about the hot flushes at night causing me to throw all the blankets off and turn the fan on, and the resultant leg cramps from the cold air.
Sorry to hear about your missus, Arena. I hope she's going okay.
Prue, an interesting post especially as my wife is going through the knee pain with arthritis right now. We used to have to change the bedding every day as when my wife went to bed she sweat that much.
I think most of us here can relate to your post,Prue. Hot flushes are far behind me now,but the creaky joints are very much part of my life. I have been lucky lately,I haven't had a flare up of arthritis for a couple of months, fingers crossed. The warm weather will help a bit.
