Just put Mrs A in her taxi* to Bordeaux (2h.30m away) for her first bout of chemo and zapping. Fortunately our youngest lives there and can care for her till Monday.
* Taxi is paid for by the care services.

Here they removed cancer surgery from our local hospital to one an hour away as a centralised specialist unit and then they tried to take the chemo service as well. This caused such an uproar that they had to leave the chemo service here

I have a few twinges now and then but on the whole i am quite fit. In our 'meet and greet' at our new doctor (since moving back from France) I had an MOT including a blood test. The day after said test I was phoned to ask me to go for another one yesterday. I duly went and asked why the need for another. It was because they hadn't included a test for cholesterol. The nurse phoned me back in the afternoon to tall me the good news - 3.4! I was gobsmacked but delighted. I reckon I have a good few years in me yet!

When it was the "in thing" here to take a daily aspirin to prevent strokes they moved on to daily statins for cholesterol. I have duly taken my statin which raises concern about my level which is borderline just below the right level. But nothing ever has change but am due another blood test early March and if it is the same concern I will stop the statin Good that you got a result so quickly, t used to be like that here but everybody now seems to be queuing up for blood tests, and the path lab staff have been reduced so it's at least a weeks wait for result. This buggers up the test for potassium as this needs to be done very shortly after the sample is taken

I must admit I was surprised at the speed of the blood test result here. We got used to having a blood test in the morning in France and getting the results on line in the afternoon - we thought that was unusual but obviously not!

We have to wait two weeks for our blood results. I had a heart attack some years ago and now am treated for angina. I take a gtn spray when I get chest pain also a statin and aspirin. I also have rheumatoid arthritis which I take anti inflammatories and pain killers. I have been diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease for which I take a Ventolin inhaler. Apart from that I feel great and have the mind of a 20 year old in an old carcass of a body.

That's the problem, we all think we are still twenty years old

I can't take statins unfortunately, but my doctor did a comprehensive test of my cholesterol level and discovered that my good cholesterol is naturally high and my bad cholesterol is naturally low.My body seems to know what it's doing.

I have had a couple of good days, painwise, so I am a very happy bunny.

I am still having good days without much bone pain. I am wondering if it's down to taking Moringa. It seems to be a coincidence,if it isn't causing the improvement. Yesterday, somehow I sort of twisted my knee. It hurt like billy-o for a few minutes then eased. I put some Voltarol on it which completely got rid of any pain,BUT I keep getting a funny feeling like something in my knee is moving slightly. It's a bit worrying, but I've sent for a knee support from Amazon. It will be here tomorrow. I really don't know what I'd do without good old Amazon.

I agree about Amazon, never fails to amaze me that when you want something a little unusual you can always guarantee they will have it Have never heard of Moninga, if you think it's causing the problem then stop it I have three different neighbours who both have knee problems, one has had both replaced and the other two rely on regular steroid injections Good luck
