I'm a real ale man. Can't abide gassy lager type beers and never drink spirits.

I do like the odd pint of Fosters or San Miguel when on Holiday, I don't mind a coffee and brandy too. Otherwise I am a coffee addict.

I am a coffee addict too. I find wine too acidic for my joints,so if I have an occasional tipple it would be a brandy and coke. Not much brandy and lots of coke. I'm also partial to a special coffee, coffee with a drop of brandy in it. I made a beef stew in the PKP yesterday and put some red wine in it. I'm quite partial to using alcofrol in cooking, but not all the time.

Hell, I'd double-cross my mother if it was whiskey that they paid (Narrator of the Tom Waits song Potter's Field)
I prefer whisky though: nearly neat but with a drop of water to take the burn off.

I used to live next door to a delightful old lady who lived to be 94. Every afternoon she would have half a crystal tumbler of whiskey that she would wave a little crystal jug of water over, allowing about two drops of water to drop in the glass. She was a very stylish woman, and despite our age gap,we became firm friends. We used to giggle like schoolgirls when we were together.

Port & lemon for me or an occasional rum.
