Yes, Friday the thirteenth. Anyone take precautions on this day? Incidentally 37 weeks today will be Christmas day, perish the thought.

I ha&d forgotten that it was Friday 13th to be honest - and then we had a call from out estate agent to say we had an offer on our house! We have a meeting tomorrow morning so not getting too excited just yet. Friday 13th could be a great day!
Our son was born on 13th of August - not a Friday but it comes around occasionally!

I'm not superstitious, but today is not a good day for me. I was due to go out with my daughter to advise her on some shrubs. I was looking forward to stretching my legs round the garden centre, then having a coffee and a cake, but I can hardly move. Yesterday I was functioning well. I hate being unreliable and letting people down. Fortunately my daughter knows how I am. I assume it is my spine that is at the root of the problem again. Maybe a bit more has crumbled. Spine and crumble are not two words you ever want to have in one sentence. Still, many days I am OK,so I mustn't grumble.

I have frequent flare up of spine arthritis too. I can be doing the simplest of things and suddenly I'm immobile. There have been times when it was important for me to be there but at last minute had to cancel because I couldn't move.

When I worked at The Mersey Docks and Harbour Company, we had an engineer named Ken Middleton-Adams. He never came into work on Friday 13th, and he told us that he always stayed in bed all day.
In his younger days as a ship's engineer, he said that if his ship was due to sail on Friday 13th, he would bugger up the engines to make sailing impossible.

Run over by a black cat perhaps......

Two years ago I was looking to book our summer holiday to Spain. I asked for a price going on the Saturday 14th it came to £1300. Anyway, the lady asked if we could possibly travel on the 13th (Friday) and I said yes that's no problem. The price was then only £1100. She said it was because many people wouldn't book to fly on that date.

Friday 13th has been great. A week ago i got a cancellation appointment for an epidural which ive been waiting for for months, had it done on Friday. After taking it easy yesterday i managed 4 miles today only sitting down once. 🙂
Hope you had good news Star about your house.
Hope too you’re on the move better now Althea.
