I am lucky I got up so early today. I decided to perm my hair, which takes lots of water. I managed to do the perm and have a shower, run the dishwasher and fill the kettle before 10.45. At 10.45, I received a phone call, that there is no water supply today due to a large leak. I won't need any more water for several hours, so well done me.

Morning all: Not budging today, just a lazy Sunday until I rejoin the rat race tomorrow. Terrible scenes from storms in Greece.

Morning all: The last few days of summer weather then all change. I wonder what will come of the announcement today regarding the virus, I hope there's not another lock down.

Glad you got rid of that hacker Arena. Morning all: Blimey the nights are drawing fast now and the mornings very dark. It's a long time before we see nice weather again.

I think the medical world is preparing for a lockdown.
Yesterday, I had a phone call from a nursing home in Denbighshire. They told me my husband is going there. Just like that, out of the blue.
OH's social worker told me that the hospital would notify her ,then she would notify me and we'd have a discussion about where he should go.
Apparently, the hospital has arranged all this without notifying anyone.
She quickly rang the powers that be and found out that there is now a "no options protocol".
OH still has cellulitis and is on intravenous A/Bs.
I think they are discharging him because they are expecting an influx of covid patients.
It was a shock yesterday, but now I have got over it, I'm sure OH will be better off in a nursing home.
I just wish it was nearer to me. However, it looks like a very large home and it looks good online.
We'll find out in due course.

Never heard of that happening before, as you say the family usually have the option of looking for a residential home that suits them. Much better when you have easy access for visiting.

Morning all: Well into autumn now, I wonder how many of us have their heating on yet. I'm sure ours will be going on now.

This is the third day I have had back pain. My hands are also painful. I'm not miserable, but I annoyed with myself. I tried to do a bit of tidying in the back garden on Monday when I was feeling fine. It seems I will never learn. I have had the heating on for 3 days now and it will most probably stay on until April. I'm off to put my heat pads on my back.

Sympathy re hurty back: would a massues be able to help you.
I started a reply but got a phone call, and lost what I'd typed. Seems I have a Hospital appoint in a Dayward, but I have to "isolate" for 14 days - albeit with assass apoint at a more distant hospital, and a coronavirus test. All by Taxi, no buses allowed.
So for the rest of the day I'd better raid the bank for cab fares, get 14 days of food, and 14 days for catfood How long does milk last? How long does Fruit and Veg last? Am I too late to get to get deliveries? And buy plenty to read...
Oh dear, Much to do.
