I saw pictures of Cilic's foot. No one could have won, carrying such an injury.
Makes it a rather hollow victory.

Sounds like you just don't like Federer A.
It was a blister..painful sure, but a blister all the same. He lost.
Murray had a hip injury. He lost.

I think Rog is the best male tennis player ever. To win Wimbledon however you need to be 100% fit. Cilic was not and would probably have lost even if he was. Just the probably, I'm mentioning. Andy was winning at a trot, till his injury got too bad. Same deal. |

Others turned up to play for a little while and then retire ill but still get the appropriate prize money for their round

Nice to see different faces and players at Queens last week Next will be Wimbledon when the travelling circus will jet in, scoop up the millions in prize money and jet on to the next trough. It is time this was sorted out, that money should be used to finance the sport in the UK and bring on more British players The boring old farts that run Wimbledon, to coin Will Carlings phrase, should be given the boot. Even Henman who never won anything has joined the elite. I bet Andy Murray won't be invited to join the club - he is not "one of us" His mother Judy should take over, of she can single handedly bring her tow sons on their level what else could she do |
