Went to my local Aldi yesterday. They did not have what I wanted but I picked up a new hose reel. My original one was destroyed by the 'builder' I had doing my patio - that is the builder that left his horse tied up at the gate.
Got it home and then found that the connection between hose and reel was damaged - the thread was buggered. So I took it back and found another which I bought, after I had checked the thread was OK. I have fitted it to the wall and al one can say is, it doesn't leak.
I also, on my second visit bought a little solar lantern to stand on the garden table, only a fiver. Unpacked that to find someone had got there before me and all the guts including the bulb and the solar panel was missing!
I am not doing very well!

I have a book by the Mersey poets and I believe it is valuable now.You just never know............

I have a book by the Mersey poets and I believe it is valuable now.You just never know............ Have got an original copy of Mersey Sound on my shelf now - purchased after having seen Brian Patten and Roger McGough perform in a pub. There were about 30 people there! |

I find myself overwhelmed in Aldi with all the various bits and pieces of gadgetry and stuff, the sort you think you cannot possibly live without but finishes up at the back of a cupboard If I go in for some food stuff by the time I've double checked all the non food I've forgotten what I came in for. And then you have spotted something in their promotional leaflets, spent ages hunting for it, ask an assistant only to be told that it is not available until 8am on Thursday |
