Ok, shoes. I get them every 5 years or so (it would be longer, but we do not see eye to eye on when a pair of shoes has come to an end - I usually reckon they have another couple of years in them) and our lass comes with me to the shop. I look for the same pair as I had last time. She decides if they're ok. We pay, and bugger off. I begrudge every minute of the two we're in there. When she goes shopping she goes on her own: she wouldn't want me fouling the place up - but Jonjel - take a book: that's the manly course.

I reckon I could read War and Peace twice in the time she takes to get just one top. And a whole outfit beggars belief......

I think womens' clothes shops should have a crèche for husbands. Comfy chairs, newspapers and magazines should be provided.

Last week I bought some Jersey Royals from Ocado and they were exquisitely delicious. This week I bought some from Aldi and they had hardly any flavour at all.

I think womens' clothes shops should have a crèche for husbands. ...or at least, a cinema next door with cheaper tickets, etc?

A few weeks ago they had Spanish week at Lidl and I bought two sorbets... hollowed out oranges filled with a delicious fresh orange sorbet for something daft like £1.40 - if they are still in the freezer section, I'm getting them again. Really lovely.

I bought a pack of Caramac today. I haven't had that for years. Just ate one and loved it.

Do we all have a Dunelm mill locally? I could spend hours in there just browsing. We buy all our bedding and towels from there.
