Because it's been mass grown in Polly tunnels and hasn't had the warmth of proper sunshine to slowly ripen. I always enjoy when I'm on holiday the markets that locals use for fruit and veg, super tasty because it is usually home grown wonderfully slowly in the sunshine.

A tip, do not keep soft fruit or tomatoes in the fridge.

I'm rather partial to a custard cream. Did you know, there's about 4 grams of fat in one custard cream? I wish I never looked...

I don't have biscuits in the house as I'm a bit greedy and have a job stopping at one or two. I've not had a custard cream for months. I also like Gypsy creams, I never see them though, can you still buy them?

I like ginger biscuits and fig rolls. But I don't eat many biscuits.

I am thinking of getting one of those Simba mattresses. Have any of you got one?

Since this is a 'shopping' thread I confess that on Saturday I spent several miserable hours either walking around or sitting by the changing rooms of a large M&S. My lady was looking for something to wear at her daughters 40th birthday bash and eventually came out with one top, and the comment 'I don't know when I am going to wear it, but I like it'
M&S should offer free newspapers to the poor sods waiting, or a coffee machine, or maybe even a bar!

I am thinking of getting one of those Simba mattresses. Have any of you got one? I know that a Simba mattress works on the same principle as a Tempur mattress, we bought a Tempur mattress about 3 years ago (before the Simba mattress was around), and I can honestly say it has been the best purchase we've made in a long while. I have a back, hip and knee problems stemming from a car accident over 20 years ago that has left me with chronic pain whilst getting less and less mobile. I found that I couldn't get a decent nights sleep and woke up in the night in severe pain. Since having my new mattress, I have had more sleep through the whole nights than before my accident. It alleviates the pressure on my hips and knees and still every night we get into bed sighing about how comfy it is. I wish I had bought one years ago.
Of course it spoils you for staying in other places and hotels etc, but lovely to come home too.

Now come on, you know that it's far worse for us ladies when you men are buying trying on something. Not only do you take a g e s, but you have to come out and show us after every change, standing looking like a lemon in grey, to ask us what we think!!! Am I right, or am I right?

Yes you're right.
Shoe shopping is the worst in our house. In fact I've refused to go shoe shopping with my husband as he takes bloody ages to decide. Watching him walk up and down in a walk that is most unnatural for him, raising his heels up and down, who does that except policemen on the telly?? Then he wants to go back to the previous shop ..... 😫

We just had such a laugh about that! I read your shoe shop post (so vivid) and OH looked sheepish and stuck two fingers up. Struck a nerve I'm telling you 😄
