I was watching a programme last night about Peter Kay (who does make me laugh incidentally...) and I thought how good it must feel when people like you foir yourself, just as you are. There was a clip of his first very first stand up in some pub - he was just the same! Very funny.
Over to you then...

Excellent ...I love all of them. 😄 We went to see Henning Wehn live a few months back...he was brilliant! No warm up, he did two 45 minute slots with a 15 minute break...takes some doing! During the break, German versions of British pop songs were played...Komm gibt mir deine hand!!!! Loved it!

Peter Kay is very very funny but he seems to be stuck in a time warp DVDs and TV shows are the same old stuff recycled and repeated, why no new stuff Love it when he takes snippets from pop songs and makes them very naughty and funny

Richard Herring has a bit about how Kay has released two dvds of pretty much the same material, the only real difference between the two being the venue in which they were recorded.

^^^ There were calls for Dave Allen to be excommunicated by the Roman Catholic Church (of which I am a paid up member!) Some might have wanted him burnt at the stake! In a free society you have to accept ridicule/opposition to your faith - even if you find it offensive. I am a regular viewer of Mock the Week where Christianity is regularly mocked...likewise on 8 out of 10 cats (Islam never incidentally)and I am frequently offended/hurt, but does that mean people should have their freedom to speak/joke curtailed? No. I was really angry about the ban on Louis Smith by the gymnastics body...

I did not mean to cause you offense, I sorry you found it so. Norty.... No, no, no. 😄 I was not offended at all! Especially not by Dave Allen - he was brilliant, spot on! Even if I was...that's the whole point isn't it? Dave, and you...have the freedom to say what you like. On Mock the Week last week they had an improvised spot Things you Wouldn't hear in the Bible (a pop at Christianity) and I thought at the time, when are we going to have Things you Wouldn't hear in the Q'uran on Mock the Week? ? Answer,we won't... But we should! What do you think?
